Tobacco cutter VFD renovation

Product introduction: tobacco cutter is mainly used in tobacco processing. The accuracy 

requirement of processed tobacco should be 0.1mm, and the width is between 0.1-3mm, which has a very strict requirement of the control system. The control system 

of tobacco cutter is Siemens S7-300PLC (or AB SLC500) and CT Unidrive from UK. These 

two are connected via Profibus DP(or DeviceNet). Since Unidrive is not manufactured 

anymore, once the VFD has some problems, there will be no replacement. Hence, replacing 

the whole system will cost a lot of money. Sains technician successfully updated the system 

of VFD to CT SP which lows the cost.
